About The Event

Indirect methods including position, low force muscle energy technique to facilitate receptor enhancement, viewing the spine as a whole connected entity, learning the laws of spinal motion (Fryette), assessing and clearing facet joint restrictions (Maitland, Goldstein) of the thoracic and lumbar spine.

Treating intrinsic spinal musculature especially the illiocostalis ‘lateral seam’.

Understanding the relationship of spinal motion with lumber and thoracic spine restrictions.

Assess global or regional patterns that effect the thorax, especially ‘shift’, tilt’, ‘bend’ and ‘rotation’, and use modified MET to change these restrictions.

Learn the relationship between a macro and micro approach and the inter-relatedness of these structures.

Clear primary directional scapular restrictions; protraction, retraction, elevation, depression and ‘roll’.

Learn the art of humeral levering and understand the dynamic articular relationship with adjacent musculature structures of the thorax, shoulder and spine, including technique for pec minor, trees minor, coracobrachialis, subscapularis and bicep brachii.
